Did you know that introverts have special, hidden abilities that they use to achieve success? If you’re an introvert, you hold innate strengths that should be fully utilized. Let’s take a look at five of these strengths and abilities.
1.) Observational Skills
Introverted people are not the type of folks who will waltz up to just anybody and start a conversation. They are more apt to hang to the side, wait in the background and observe a person’s actions and movements before deciding whether they are worthy of being associated with. They watch for subtle cues and they make their choices based off their own observations. Don’t bother telling an introvert about what a great guy your buddy is, he’ll definitely want to watch for himself.
2.) Enjoyment of Their Own Company
Ever wonder about how your introverted friends and family members seem to avoid the nightlife and all of the trouble that comes with it? They do so by legitimately enjoying their own company. When you enjoy your own company, you do not need to run all over town and look for friends to dull the pain of loneliness. Being lonely is a completely foreign concept to the introvert and being comfortable with your own company keeps you from making poor choices. All they need is a good book or podcast to be satisfied (and maybe a decent meal).
3.) Extreme Independence
If an introvert wants to go to the movies, then guess what? They go to the movies! They do not sit by the phone for hours on end, waiting for someone to accept their invitation. When an introvert wants to try a new restaurant, they perform their own research about the establishment ahead of time and choose the date that works best for them, as opposed to trying to wrangle five friends with five different schedules.
4.) Intuition
While most people are only listening to what you have to say because they are waiting for their turn to chime in, an introvert is a great listener because they are truly hearing you out. They have an amazing sense of intuition and typically give the best advice, because they are not worried about making people like them. When you want the straight dope about anything that is happening in your life, talk to an introvert.

5.) Preternatural Focus
When an introvert is hard at work on the task at hand, don’t even bother trying to interrupt them. They are not the type to be swayed from their work by the promise of a party or get together and it takes a life altering event to shift their focus elsewhere. Their one track minds serve them well when they are trying to complete a task, especially when compared to the extrovert, who tends to be very easy to distract.
